Back of the box:

From the writer of 2004's Dawn of the Dead comes the deliciously
demented story of an unnamed evil wreaking havoc on a small town.  intent
on devouring all life on Earth, this dark force is infecting anyone in its path.
Now it's up to the local sheriff, Bill Pardy and his team to stop the spread of
rampant devastation and shocking mutilation, before it's too late.
The Bloody Truth:

Thoroughly disgusting, completely hilarious!

Slither is likely to please a wide array of horror fans from Aliens to monsters
even Zombie flick fans.  A talented and divers cast, enough guts, slime and
goo for even a seasoned gore hound and more disturbing moments than a
Richard Simmons telethon, Slither delivers and does so with a heaping
helping of dark comedy.

The Bloody Truth is Slither is an undeniably fun film targeting (without
shame) genre fans.  What do you get when you mix a Troma upbringing
and “big Hollywood” It appears it would be something great.  Not for the
faint of heart or the week stomached Slither brings the A game to the B
movie backlot.

Slipin' and sliding into your heart.... or brain

Let’s face it, any film with evil alien space slugs trying to take over the earth is bound to get a mixed reaction.   If you take your horror
very seriously, Slither is probably not for you.  Me, I enjoy a healthy dose of the ridiculous and that is where Slither shines.  Somewhere
in between Shaun of the Dead and Evil Aliens , Slither delivers the goods without ever taking itself too seriously.  It is the cheesy
sidekick riding shot gun along with the big boys of horror.  Slither, slips, slides and slimes its way into the horror genre with humor and
aplomb.  Part sci-fi thriller, part ridiculous kitsch, the film works on a number of levels and should please many a horror fan.  While not
actually scary itself, it does have a fair amount of blood and more than enough disturbing (and utterly bizarre) imagery to keep avid
horror buffs, if not pleasantly disgusted than at the least entertained.

Nathan Fillion plays hottie Sherriff/Hero Bill Pardy to Elizabeth Bank’s token blonde cutie Starla Grant.  Together Bill and Starla attempt
to ward off the invasion (led by Starla’s unfortunate husband turned alien puppet Grant Grant, brilliantly played by Michael Rooker) and
save the town from aforementioned evil alien space slugs.

Slither’s best moments are in the one-liners, of which there are many.  Every time the film even thinks of taking itself seriously it quickly
jumps in with a joke to break the “tension.”  Like so many sidekicks throughout cinematic history, Slither is its own comic relief.
